Session 4: Using the Change Agent to Teach Writing

Help students see themselves as writers, consider their audience, investigate what makes good writing, learn mechanics, understand what it means to develop their voice, and hone a cohesive and well-supported text – all while using materials from a national, student-written publication. The Change Agent is written by and for adult learners at multiple literacy levels, and each issue explores themes that are highly relevant and engaging. Students can read and/or listen to the content online. They can respond to the piece using the “Comment” feature on the website, which also allows them to respond to each other. This webinar will also include information about how to invite your students to submit their writing to The Change Agent. (Students whose pieces are accepted receive $50.)

Please note: Teachers will need to have an electronic subscription to The Change Agent to participate in this webinar. Adult education programs may purchase The Change Agent for teachers.

Registration Ends: November 10, 2020

*Please note: This webinar will be held in WebEx. A link will be sent to registered participants two (2) days prior to the session beginning.
