Economics in STEM, Part I

March 2, 2021

This workshop will demonstrate how you can help your Grade 2-6 students use economic reasoning to better understand the institutions and processes integral to being effective citizens and consumers. Using the children’s book, Erandi’s Braids, written by Antonio Hernandez Madrigal and illustrated by Tomi dePoala, students will examine economic decision-making and the effects of overfishing and sustainability on the world around them. This program will explore how you can use these lessons in both face-to-face and remote instruction. All attendees will receive a $10 Amazon gift card so they can purchase Erandi’s Braids.

Part II will occur on March 9; note each part can be attended independently.
