This week-long professional development, hosted by educators from Children’s Museum Tucson and the Planetary Science Institute, focuses on increasing educator confidence in helping students engage their students with STEM. Throughout the week, teachers will participate in interactive, hands-on STEM activities they can utilize in their classrooms. Topics include how to connect literacy and STEM, engaging empathy in engineering, practicing classification to better understand our solar system, and exploring surfaces of different worlds. At the end of the week, teachers will take home resources to successfully implement multiple science activities with their students.
All STEAM Ahead will take place Monday July 25th – Friday, July 29th from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Children’s Museum Tucson.
*Teachers from Title I schools will also receive a STEM kit and free field trip to the Museum for their class during the upcoming school year.*
