September 18, 2021

Click IMPACTS-MS program brochure.

The IMPACTS-MS program focuses on developing teacher confidence and capability with the Critical Foundations of Algebra in middle school mathematics, while also supporting opportunities for teacher leadership.

The program consists of 5 components (see Program Agreements for more details):

  • Teacher Workshops on Saturdays throughout the school year (open to all teachers with no further commitments)
  • Summer Middle School Mathematics Institute for Teacher Teams engaged in site-based leadership
  • Site-based support for Teacher Teams by CRR staff
  • Teacher Leadership Retreat for teachers engaged in regional/district leadership
  • Mathematics Educator Appreciation Day Conference (MEAD)

During the school year, the CRR will offer 10 IMPACTS-MS workshops open to ALL Arizona teachers (see workshop descriptions). These workshops introduce teachers to the big ideas of algebraic reasoning in middle grades, with some Level 2 options for those looking for deeper investigations of middle school mathematics topics.

Information about the school year workshops will be advertised through the CRR listserv, so please make sure you are on the list.
