IMPACTS-MS Conceptualizing Change and Graphing

February 12, 2022

Patterns, functions, and graphs – what’s the difference? An expectation in secondary mathematics is to develop student understanding using patterns to represent, model, and analyze relationships in the real world. Come join us as we explore covariation and correspondence through patterns, concrete models, 4-column tasks, and multiple representations.

(Activities will be different from last year’s workshops, so teachers who attended last year should still consider attending this year’s workshop.)

NOTE: Participants will be expected to take a task back to their classrooms, collect and analyze student work, and share their reflections with the CRR.

***Teachers from Arizona schools are invited to apply at no cost. Others may register for $60.
