PAX Good Behavior Game Initial Training

The PAX Good Behavior Game (PAX GBG) is an evidence-based preventive intervention used by teachers in the classroom. PAX GBG is the single most proven classroom-based preventive intervention with multiple randomized control studies demonstrating significant improvement in students’ behavioral outcomes, academic outcomes, and even longitudinal outcomes, including reduced risk for psychiatric and substance misuse disorders. PAX explicitly integrates with SEL, PBIS, trauma-informed classrooms, and more. Teachers who use PAX GBG in their classrooms also report less workplace stress than their untrained peers.

PAX Good Behavior Game Initial Training provides teachers with all the skills, strategies, and supplies necessary to implement PAX GBG in the classroom. This is the foundational training of PAX GBG and ensures proficiency in each of the PAX Kernels as well as the PAX Game. In addition to implementing strategies, teachers learn the importance of a nurturing environment and its effects on trauma, self-regulation, and mental health outcomes throughout the lifespan. Teachers also learn about the role they can play in supporting the students that are most affected by environmental influences.
