The Impact of Violence on Young Children and Their Families: We Can All Make a Difference

October 20, 2020

All children who have lived with interpersonal violence are affected by it but the reaction to it varies among children. This workshop will focus on the unique aspects of the effects of violence on children. Dr. Weinreb will draw from the clinical work of the Child Witness to Violence Project and research findings on the impact of violence on young children’s emotional, psychological, and cognitive development. We will discuss how every one of us–parents, extended family, advocates, educators, mental health professionals, child welfare specialists, court personnel, and other important adults in children’s lives- can play a key role in protecting them.

This is a free webinar. PD certificates will not be provided for this webinar.
