WSIP workshops aim to provide participants with a refresher of basic writing skills; an introduction to how those skills should be applied in advanced writing; and tools to apply those skills to their own writing projects. Our target audiences are writers and teachers of writing in any discipline. During workshop sessions, participants become a community of learners, where everyone’s voices are equally valued and included in discussion. While writers benefit from direct instruction of writing, teachers gain insight into writers’ experiences, and add to their toolkits for teaching writing.
The Regular Writing Workshops are available during regular academic semesters at the University of Arizona.
