The Arizona Teachers Academy (ATA) at the University of Arizona is a state-funded initiative to recruit and retain more qualified birth-Grade 12 educators by offering future teachers full-tuition scholarships and access to postgraduation induction services like instructional coaching and professional development. In exchange, academy-funded educators commit to teaching in an Arizona public or charter school for as many years as they receive funding.
The ATA at the University of Arizona currently funds students in eighteen different graduate and undergraduate programs, many of which are offered statewide and through Arizona Online.
