Child & Family Resources Prevention Programs for Youth

Prevention Programs for Youth are free and voluntary programs designed to teach parents, guardians, caregivers, teachers and youth how to navigate the world in a safe and healthy way.

The Mental Health Matters and Empowering Families Programs facilitate evidence based professional development opportunities for anyone working or caring for youth.

Through the Mental Health Matters (MHM), we facilitate evidence based, Youth Mental Health First Aid to parents/caregivers and professionals that work with youth throughout Arizona. Youth Mental Health First Aid provides participants with the tools to identify and respond to signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth, assess for suicide risk, listen non judgmentally, give reassurance, encourage appropriate professional help and provide resources and support.

Through the Empowering Families program, we facilitate Triple P Positive Parenting seminars and workshops. The Triple P Positive Parenting  is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world, backed up by more than 35 years of ongoing research. Triple P gives parents, caregivers and professionals simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage children’s behavior and prevent problems developing.
