Easterseals Blake Foundation

High quality professional development for child care providers focusing on social, emotional, and relational health

Easterseals Blake Foundation is dedicated to the vision of a Southern Arizona community where all people live healthy, productive, and independent lives. EBF serves more than 30,000 individuals and families across 10 counties of Southern Arizona.

Five programs in the Blake Children and Family department provide PD services to early care and education providers. These all have specific eligibility and service criteria, and leverage trained professionals in each specific area.

Available in southern AZ are: AZ STEPS – training and technical assistance for DES funded providers, with a focus on expulsion prevention. Public trainings are listed on the AZ Workforce Registry. Quality First – Coaching services in the classroom for enrolled providers. Smart Support – mental health consultation in the classroom with training content available to enrolled providers. Communities of Practice – Raising Resilience (trauma-informed care) and Inclusion (serving children with special needs) run as nine-month cohorts with monthly meetings focused on the identified topics. Classroom coaching also available. Members enroll through the United Way in June and July.
