This year, K-3 teachers and students have reason for excitement as the program is expanding to offer a younger version in 2026 as a pilot with the potential for expansion in the future. This opportunity aims to foster curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking early on in life alongside their peers in a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate way!
Arizona Junior STEM Adventure is a field trip which offers a one-day glimpse into the world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). STEM professionals from throughout Arizona share their world to motivate students to engage in science or engineering. Meanwhile, their teachers will attend two hours of professional development related to confidently bringing STEM into the classroom and receive materials and lesson plans to do so. AZ STEM Adventure is offered at no cost. Schools must provide transportation to the field trip as well as a chaperone for every 8 students attending who will remain with them throughout the entirety of the event.
