AZ Ag Institute: Ranch & Vine

March 20, 2026

Join us for the Arizona Agriculture Institute Pima County Ranch & Vine Spring Tours, a hands-on professional learning experience that brings Southern Arizona agriculture to life. During this immersive tour, educators will explore both beef production and the wine industry, gaining a firsthand look at how food and agricultural products are raised, grown, and produced in our region.

Participants will learn directly from local producers about cattle ranching practices, land stewardship, resource management, and the journey from pasture to plate. The experience will also include a behind-the-scenes look at a Southern Arizona winery, where teachers will discover how grapes are grown, harvested, and transformed into a finished product.

Throughout the day, educators will make meaningful connections between agriculture and classroom content, exploring ways to integrate real-world applications into science, social studies, nutrition, economics, and career exploration. This experience is designed to help teachers connect students to where their food comes from while building awareness of Arizona’s diverse agricultural industry.

Leave with new knowledge, classroom ideas, and resources to help your students better understand the people, processes, and science behind Southern Arizona agriculture.
