In this one-hour session, educators will explore the Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs), one of the three dimensions of the Arizona Science Standards. Participants will explore the research that shaped the Practices, uncover how they are designed to reflect what scientists and engineers actually do, and examine how they progress across grade bands. The session will highlight ways SEPs promote student engagement, sensemaking, and the development of scientific literacy for all learners.
