Do you want your student state test scores to improve this year? This workshop not only makes it possible but also probable.
This 1-day professional development opportunity will teach you how to dive deeply into the new Essential Standards for grades 3 through 8 (ELA and math). You will learn through a step-by-step process how to best implement the Essential Standards, while using your current scope and sequence, curriculum, and supplemental materials to ensure everything is aligned to the Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment (AASA).
This workshop is designed around two basic principles:
- Student achievement improves when teaching is focused on the standards.
- If you want better results, teach with more clarity and focus.
Who should attend? Anyone supporting instructors in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, including, but not limited to, administrators, curriculum specialists, and lead teachers should attend.
Participants should bring or have electronic access to the following:
- Scope and sequence for one grade level (grades 3-8) in either ELA or math
- Curriculum resources for Tier I instruction
