Children often do not have the words to describe how they are feeling, especially during times of emotional escalation. The professionals working with children have the power to strengthen this skill; thus, empowering the child. In this training participants will learn how emotional literacy skills can help prevent suspension and expulsion. They will also be given concrete strategies on how to support children in learning emotional literacy. Technical assistance is available after attending this training.
