Highlighting PD Programs and Preparing Applications: Planning, Writing and Submitting
Join us on February 15th, from 4:00 – 5:30 pm
- 4:00 – 4:30 Highlighting PD Programs
- 4:30 – 5:30 “Tooting Your Own Horn: Writing About Your Accomplishments”
We will be hearing from PD Providers about upcoming PD Programs. PD Programs generally are professional development opportunities that last over a longer period of time and include a more significant commitment from participants, such as a Community of Practice, the TREC Teacher Leader Program, or even a series of workshops. We will also be joined by Andrea Hernandez Holm, with UArizona’s Writing Skills Improvement Program (WSIP), in her workshop “Tooting Your Own Horn: Writing About Your Accomplishments”.
This workshop will discuss the challenges of writing about ourselves and our accomplishments in application responses and similar materials. It will explore strategies to develop voice and content and focus on learning how to be comfortable centering ourselves in this type of writing.
