How to Support A Grieving Student in the Classroom

Grief 101 Plus, 2.5 hour Workshop

In Arizona, 1 in 10 kids will experience the death of either a parent or sibling before the age of 18 (2024, CBEM). If you’re a teacher, you probably have a grieving student in your classroom.

This workshop goes beyond our Grief Edu 101 presentation and focuses on specific ways teachers can support students in the classroom. This workshop includes our 1 hour Grief Edu 101 presentation plus hands on application and practice with real classroom scenarios.

  • Learn how to practice acknowledgement and reflective listening
  • Practice responding to real classroom situations and receive feedback and suggestions
  • Receive a free picture book for each attendee as well as book list for grief, dying and medical diagnosis

Fee is a flat fee for a school or district and is not per person. Minimum and maximum registration does apply.
