The UA Center for Recruitment and Retention of Mathematics Teachers (CRR) invites you to be our guest at the 22nd Annual Mathematics Educator Appreciation Day Conference (MEAD) on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
MEAD is Arizona’s largest mathematics education event, and in order to increase accessibility will be HYBRID with options to participate either in-person or virtually in over 150 conference sessions. The conference and keynote address are open to PK-16 teachers and administrators, and offered at NO COST to Arizona educators (thanks to the generosity of a CRR donor).
Registration opened this week, and sessions are filling up quickly. We hope you will help promote the conference so that as many teachers as possible can learn about this amazing opportunity (conference flyer and details on the conference website). You can view the conference agenda at https://mead2026.sched.com/list/simple.
The Keynote Luncheon will take place in the UA Grand Ballroom (12:00-2:00pm). We are fortunate that the keynote address will be given by Cathery Yeh, a nationally recognized leader in mathematics education and author of multiple publications on inclusivity and equity in the mathematics classroom.
We invite you to be our guest at the conference and/or keynote luncheon. To RSVP for the keynote luncheon only, please send an email to Rodrigo Gutiérrez, rodrigog@arizona.edu. More details will be provided in January.
If you would like to attend the morning conference sessions in-person or virtually, please REGISTER for free access using this special code (MEADGUEST) at: https://mead2026.sched.com/.
We appreciate your leadership and support of education.
