What if multilingualism were seen as a resource rather than a challenge? This two-day, hands-on summer institute does exactly that — inviting participants to explore the many languages in students’ lives and the wider world through the lens of translingual picturebooks.
You’ll engage with new picturebooks and classroom activities, connect directly with children’s authors and illustrators about their global books, and leave with strategies for helping students interact meaningfully with both familiar and unfamiliar languages. Each participant also takes home the featured authors’ picturebooks, along with booklists and other materials.
Spots are limited, so don’t wait too long on this one.
