Physical Activity and Time Outdoors for Students with ADHD

December 6, 2024

I’m excited to invite teachers, counselors, social workers, and paraprofessionals to a special free workshop called “Physical Activity for Students with ADHD” which I will be hosting on Zoom. This workshop is designed to provide you with evidence-based, classroom-possible tools to make movement and time outdoors an integral part of inclusive classrooms.

Date: Friday, 6 December 2024

Time: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm (AZ Time)

Platform: Zoom

During this workshop, you will:

Learn what ADHD is, and how having ADHD affects how students navigate learning spaces.
Get the hang of the science behind movement, and why exercise and time outdoors is critical for attention and emotional regulation.
Master effective, easy-to-implement activities that align with the needs of students with ADHD.

The goal for our time together is to 1) understand that learners with ADHD, grades 0-99, benefit tremendously from physical activity and time outdoors and 2) uncover strategies that make incorporating this powerful intervention “classroom-possible.”
