Join Us for Our Next Virtual Education Power Hour!
Join Education Forward Arizona for our February Education Power Hour as we take an in-depth look at where Arizona’s workforce stands today and what it will take to prepare for the jobs of the future.
As Arizona’s economy continues to grow across high-demand sectors like technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and the skilled trades, new competencies and credentials are increasingly critical. This Power Hour will explore current and future workforce needs across urban and rural communities, and the role education and training will play in meeting those demands.
We’ll be joined by an expert panel from the Maricopa Community Colleges District, Daniel Barajas, Chief Officer for Workforce & Economic Development Strategy, and Jennifer Kaufman Fourness, Program Director in the Office of Workforce Solutions, who will share insights on workforce trends, regional opportunities, and employer needs.
Both served on the research committee that authored the Arizona Town Hall Building Arizona’s Workforce Background Report and will highlight key findings from the report, including the education-to-workforce connections needed to support Arizona’s long-term economic growth.
We will also hear from Joel Millman, Director, Pinal County Economic and Workforce Department and Director, ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County with his thoughts on how the report is impacting workforce and education opportunities in Pinal County.
