Power Hour – May 2026 – Career and Technical Education in Arizona

Join Education Forward Arizona to learn more about career and technical education (CTE) across the State of Arizona.  Hear from our expert panel including:  Kevin Imes, State Director for Career and Technical Education for the AZ Department of Education, Amy West,  Superintendent, Western AZ Vocational District (WAVE) and Merrill Kemp-Wilcox, Director of Research & Development for the Pima JTED.  This panel will dive into the many benefits students receive from participating in CTE classes while in high school.  We will also explore how CTE prepares students, at reduced or no cost, to be ready to enter postsecondary education or the workforce and fill the jobs of the future.
