October Education Power Hour:
How Voting Impacts Education
Save Your Spot for Our October Education Power Hour!
Join Education Forward Arizona for our October Education Power Hour on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at noon, as we explore how your vote on the November ballot can impact education across Arizona and in your local community.
We’ll be joined by Rebecca Beebe, Director of Governmental Affairs at Arizona School Administrators, Inc.; Joe Barba, Senior Director of Government Affairs at First Things First; and Jimmy Arwood, Director of Governmental Relations for Arizonans for Quality Education.
Together, they will discuss how elected officials influence education and education policy, which ballot propositions could impact education, and the role local school boards play in shaping education in their communities.
We’ll also take a closer look at why Education Forward Arizona recommends a “no” vote on Proposition 320 and what voters should know about local school bonds and overrides.
There is much to consider on this year’s ballot, and we hope you’ll join us to learn more and be prepared to make informed decisions this November.
