Join Education Forward Arizona for our August Education Power Hour as we hear from experts about ARIZONA@WORK, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and how they support career training, job placement assistance, and other services for job seekers across Arizona.
We’ll be joined by Joel Millman, Director of the Pinal County Economic and Workforce Development Department; Sara Ungaro, Workforce Development Manager for ARIZONA@WORK Mohave/La Paz Counties; and Sandra Darling, CWDP, Area Manager for Coconino, NEAZ, and Eastern New Mexico at ARIZONA@WORK Coconino County and Eckerd Connects.
Together, they will discuss how these programs help youth and adult job seekers access training, build in-demand skills, and connect to employment opportunities in communities across urban and rural Arizona. These programs strengthen Arizona’s workforce by connecting employers, educators, and job seekers while advancing the Achieve60AZ attainment goal: ensuring that 60 percent of working‑age adults hold a degree, certificate, or other high‑value credential by 2030.
