Join Education Forward Arizona for our May Education Power Hour as we explore the impact of career and technical education (CTE) across the state.
As Arizona continues to grow and evolve, CTE programs are playing a critical role in preparing students for both postsecondary education and the workforce. These programs provide students with real-world skills, hands-on experience, and direct pathways into high-demand careers, at reduced or no cost.
Presenters include Kevin Imes, State Director for Career and Technical Education at the Arizona Department of Education; Amy West, Superintendent of the Western Arizona Vocational District; and Merrill Kemp-Wilcox, Director of Research & Development at Pima JTED.
Together, they will share insights into the many benefits students receive from participating in CTE classes while in high school.
