Due to the generosity of Lee and Arthur Herbst and the Herbst Family Foundation, teachers receive $25 stipends for their participation in this HEMS workshop. Participants are invited to arrive at 8:15am to enjoy a light continental breakfast.

[Grades 1- 3] Reimagining the Post-Testing Stretch: Depth Over Drills (HEMS)

Tired of merely trying to survive the post-testing, post-curriculum stretch? Looking for alternatives to the worksheet-shuffle? Reclaim the final weeks of the school year with a high-energy 4-hour workshop designed to transform post-testing, post-curricular fatigue into a season of deep mathematical discovery. Join Guest Faciliator Colin Grogan session moves beyond the worksheet, equipping Grade 1–3 teachers with a discovery-based roadmap for the end of the year. Participants will learn how to foster productive struggle and rich problem solving to review core standards and bridge the gap between students’ current skills and the demands of their next grade level.

Attendees will leave with engaging, ready-to-use activities, games, and tasks that students can do with their families over the summer to help them prepare for the next grade level.
