Science Teacher Symposium 9

June 22, 2026

Join ASTA’s Science Teaching Symposium for three incredible days of virtual professional learning via Zoom focusing on life science.

Throughout this virtual symposium, you will learn from expert scientists from around Arizona and the country including a Nobel Prize Awardee.  The 3 days will be focused on the L1 core idea: Organisms are organized on a cellular basis and have a finite life span. Participants with a small amount of content knowledge about this life science core idea, those who teach high school level biology and everyone in between, will be met where they are with their understanding and grow together from there.

Each participant will receive a box of books and supplies in advance of the symposium (worth ≈$150). Hands-on, minds-on experiences using these materials,  grade-band digestion time to discuss the content and activities, and time to ask questions of the impressive lineup of everyday STEM superheroes serving as speakers will make this professional development experience out of this world!
