In this second, of a 3-part Staff Relations training series, participants will continue the primary theme of this series exploring how all our (staff) relationships affect: the Center’s environment; adults’ & children’s experiences of emotional safety & belonging; as well as our capacities to support children, families & one another.
Throughout this training, participants will become familiar with the role of self-awareness, vulnerability & courage, and Brene Brown’s 7 Elements of Trust as these relate to building relationships and preventing expulsion. Additionally, we will delve into the importance of our emotions & needs and receive an introduction into the Elements of Emotional Intelligence as developed by Daniel Goleman. Finally, participants will conduct a brief self-reflective activity to determine current strengths & growth opportunities; individuals will be encouraged to create personal commitments toward improved self-care & self-discovery.
