Join scientists and education specialists from the Planetary Science Institute for a three-day exploration of the Solar System and our connection to it. Engage in hands-on standards aligned activities to deepen your own knowledge and build new ideas for your classroom.
Topics will include classification, understanding planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. Activities will also integrate literature and art. All participants will leave with all activity guides and materials for implementation.
Dr. Buxner is a local author who is employed at the Planetary Science Institute, as well as Dr. Lebofsky, an active scientist and space educator.
You will receive a STEMAZing kit worth $350 that includes all of the materials for you to teach all of the lessons!
Audience: PreK-5th Grade Teachers from Southern Arizona
