During this in-person workshop, participants will experience a third grade Life Science Deeper Dive unit that helps students understand the relationship between energy sources in an ecosystem and the structures that help organisms survive. Through the use of engaging hands-on activities, participants will experience a 3D 5E unit that emphasizes active learning, modeling, evidence-based reasoning, and the development of scientific vocabulary grounded in real-world phenomena.
Benefits to attending the workshop include:
- $100 for attending the workshop
- An additional $50 for providing feedback after implementing the unit
- Approximately $100 worth of materials for classroom use in implementing the unit
- 8 PD hours
