Support Meaningful K–8 Mathematics Learning

September 8, 2026

Educators in Graham and Greenlee counties are invited to a free, in-person workshop hosted locally in the region by the University of Arizona’s Center for Recruitment and Retention of Mathematics Teachers (CRR). This interactive K–8 workshop will help transform everyday classroom moments into powerful opportunities for mathematical reasoning and sense-making. Participants will leave with practical, classroom-tested strategies they can use right away to help students deepen understanding and engage in problem-solving discourse.

All mathematics educators are welcome, including classroom teachers, special education teachers, mathematics interventionists, instructional coaches, and administrators who support mathematics teaching and learning. This gathering, hosted in Safford, provides an opportunity to connect with fellow teachers of mathematics from across the region to collaborate, share ideas, and learn from one another.
