Using Story to Promote Personal Financial Literacy for Youth Ages 10–12,  May 28–29 (9:00–4:00 daily) at the Worlds of Words Center in the College of Education at the University of Arizona

This collaborative two-day working conference focuses on sharing expertise and exploring resources for the design of story-based financial literacy lessons grounded in relevant real-world contexts. This conference will bring together educators and community partners to co-develop curriculum that positions students as active participants in financial decision-making. Day 1 will center on sharing expertise and exploring children’s literature and other curricular resources. Day 2 will feature conversations with local business owners and collaborative planning for future curriculum development. Teacher Participants will receive a $600 stipend, with parking and lunch provided both days. There will also be follow up opportunities, for an additional stipend, to review and provide feedback on developed lessons during the 26-27 academic year.
