Commitment Fee: $15 ASTA Member; $25 Non ASTA Member

Description: Come learn and grow with fellow educators as we continue our journey through Helping Students Make Sense of the World Using Next Generation Science and Engineering Practices. In Cohort Two, we’ll dive into the Sensemaking PracticesDeveloping and Using Models, Analyzing and Interpreting Data, and Constructing Explanations—and discover practical ways to bring them to life in our classrooms. Together, we’ll share ideas, reflect on experiences, and support one another in helping students make sense of the world through science.

Materials Needed: Helping Students Make Sense of the World Using Next Gen Science & Engineering Practices by Christina Schwarz, Cynthia Passmore, and Brian Reiser  You can purchase the book from NSTA –https://my.nsta.org/resource/105619/helping-students-make-sense-of-the-world-using-next-generation-science-and-engineering-practices ($49.99 non-member) If not able to purchase a book, ASTA will provide electronic chapters needed.
