Math Literacy for Early Childhood Educators ECHO

August 17, 2023

This virtual Community of Practice (CoP) will engage early childhood educators in mathematics content and practices that are relevant to their classrooms, allowing participants to see how to incorporate math into everyday life.  This CoP is run in partnership with Project Echo. Early childhood educators will participate in a collaborative process refining “mathpacks” for children and families with relevance and appropriateness for their community, school, and region!

Participants will…

  • Explore their personal attitudes towards mathematics and understand the connection between this and building children’s math success.
  • Identify math in everyday life within their communities.
  • Become familiar with mathematical concepts and vocabulary.
  • Develop and receive “mathpacks” for children and families.
