SELECT Program Fall 2026 — Free Access to Online NAU Graduate Classes

August 24, 2026

Dates Listed on this Resource are for Fall 2026 Enrollment Deadlines

Special Education Learning Experiences for Competency in Teaching (SELECT) is sponsored by the Arizona Department of Education and offered through the Institute for Human Development at Northern Arizona University. SELECT courses are recommended for teachers, administrators, related-service personnel, paraeducators, and other interested individuals.

Candidates can take SELECT classes for free as a professional growth student; seat hour certificates awarded to those who finish will be accepted by the Arizona Department of Education Certification Unit towards the professional development requirements for certificate renewal. SELECT seat hour certificates are also accepted for salary schedule advancement/placement at certain Arizona public school districts, check with your HR department. Some SELECT courses may require textbook purchase. Please reach out to SELECT@nau.edu to inquire about possible textbook requirements for the course(s) you are interested in.

SELECT classes can be taken for university credit by professionals who are required by their school districts to have official transcripts and for those who may need to transfer hours out of state (tuition and associated fees apply).

SELECT courses are graduate-level, self-paced online classes with a weekly time commitment. We suggest limiting to two classes per session.
