The Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research (LTRR) at the University of Arizona provides a wide spectrum of educational programs designed to engage learners at all levels, from early childhood through university studies. Our K–12 curriculum introduces students to dendrochronology, archaeology, earth sciences, and related interdisciplinary fields, with instruction aligned to both the Arizona State Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards.
Educators are invited to schedule classroom visits, on-site field trips to the Laboratory at the University of Arizona campus, and field trips to Mt. Lemmon, where students can participate in hands-on scientific exploration and discover the connections between tree-ring research and the broader natural and human environments.
