Receive professional development credit for the Tucson Festival of Books from Worlds of Words!
The Tucson Festival of Books is happening March 14-15, 2026, at the University of Arizona with over 300 authors across dozens of genres.
In the Children/Teen Area, there are 65 children’s and young adult authors and illustrators, with over 100 sessions including panels of authors, workshops on writing and illustrating, and educator sessions on recommended award-winning books. Sessions with Children’s authors and illustrators will present in the College of Education, while the YA Author Stage and YA workshops will occur right outside the University of Arizona Library. The College of Education will also have tables with information on its West Patio.
Professional development credit is available to educators for all sessions in the Children/Teen Area.
- Please check in at the lobby of the College of Education when you arrive at the festival to receive the form to record the sessions you attend
- Sessions take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday
- Interact with authors and illustrators + gather engaging books to share with students about the issues/stories behind those books
