State standards are sometimes written as complex statements that can be interpreted in different ways.  Thus, it is important that teachers have a common understanding about the goals and targets of each standard.  Participants will be able to: Explain and identify what the students should know and be able to do, identify key concepts and skills of the standard, identify the learning intention and how students will know they are successful.
