Arizona Project WET is holding a workshop for middle and high school teachers to help students explore and discover the natural environment by building their scientific observation and note-taking skills. Join APW to experience our two-day Discovery Journey workshop. Learn how this unit connects students personally to nature, builds valuable skills, and can become a life long learning tool.
January 5th, March TBD 2023, 9:00am – 3:30pm
Water Resources Research Center, 350 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719
Day 1: Learn about the Urban Water cycle, the history of the Santa Cruz River and how to use your body and powers of estimation to make field observations. Then hone your skills at the Sweetwater Wetlands.
Day 2: In March (Date TBD), return with how you implemented the program in your class and what assessment methods you used on student work.
