TaikoMIND Workshop

April 9, 2026

There’s nothing quiet about this mindful experience!

Discover how mindfulness can be applied to learning while playing taiko drums.

Taiko drumming is perfect for learning about culture, music, performance art, and mindfulness.  What’s more, taiko drumming is a team experience that requires focused attention, cooperation and self-discipline — all key elements of the art form and essential life skills.  Every person’s part matters to the whole group’s success.

This workshop is hands-on, interactive, composed of teamwork, and focused on mindfulness.  No experience required.

Activities, games, and self-reflection support the learning process in playful, and meaningful ways.   Connections to real-world applications are emphasized.
