STREAM Strategies for Early Childhood Classrooms ECHO

August 20, 2026

This FREE virtual Community of Practice (CoP) will equip early childhood educators with practical, developmentally appropriate strategies to nurture curiosity and build STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering and Math) concepts.  Participants will engage in hands-on science, big ideas, and playful STREAM for our youngest learners!

This CoP is a partnership between TREC, Laboratory of Tree Ring Research, and Project Echo.

Participants will…

  • Explore their personal attitudes towards STREAM and build confidence in offering STREAM-based learning.
  • Build a practical library of process-focused activities and children’s books that support STREAM thinking in early childhood settings.
  • Strengthen community and connections with other early childhood educators through shared discussion, reflection, and idea swapping.
  • Gain confidence in designing open-ended, inquiry-based experiences that promote children’s thinking processes rather than finished products.
